The Sedum roof on the stable block has generated much interest and many positive comments from visitors to our home. Even the once sceptical builders like it! Emma and I are very pleased with the finished roof.

The roof looks brilliant and the client is very happy. In the end I had 7 turfs over !!! Great measuring. It was real hard work getting all the materials up onto the roofs. Dear Darren,
I’ve just got back to Cornwall from my trip, and at last have time to let you know how we got on, installing the sedum roof on the day I left! The water retentive mats arrived at 10 as promised, and my gardener friends got straight to work. I took some photos to send you as they worked. We followed your suggestion, fitting the mats between the raised ridges on my roof, topping up with the growing medium, and then laying the turf right across the top of the ridges. It looks wonderful! Do come in for a cuppa and have a look, while you’re in Cornwall. I’m sure you’ll be pleased at the look of the roof. Incidentally, the sacks of pebbles are stacked at the side of the driveway, handy for collection when you come. Just give me a ring to let me know when you can visit, so I can be sure I’ll be here.

Attached are some pics of my roof…I’ve added a few little sedums I’ve been growing too. I’m really thrilled with the look of it – and the ease with which it went down. Today it was covered with very happy bumblebees. Thanks for all your help and the speed of delivery. I hope many more people follow suit, but with much bigger orders than my tiny roof.
