We offer two types of waterproofing because they both provide a high quality and long lasting finish. But which one should you choose? Here are the benefits and disadvantages to both to help you choose………

 

EPDM Rubber Membrane

 

PROS:

  • More advanced roofing material than other tradtition methods
  • Highley Durable even in extreme weathers
  • Reliable & Affordable
  • Long Lasting (up to 50 years expectancy)
  • Low Maintenance
  • Environmentally friendly, made with recylced materials
  • BBA certified
  • Any tears can be easily patched
  • Made custom sized for roof
  • No Blistering, Cracking or Rotting

CONS:

  • Needs Specialist Installation for best results
  • Can be more timely to install on difficult roofs which chimmleys, vents etc as the EPDM will need to be cut and flashed with tape
  • Not 100% indestructable, tears are rare but can happen
  • Finding a good installer is not so easy than traditional methods (Sedum Supply are certified installers)

GRP Liquid Roof

 

PROS:

  • More advanced roofing material than other tradtition methods even EPDM
  • Highley Durable even in extreme weathers
  • Reliable
  • Long Lasting (over 25 years expectancy)
  • Low Maintenance
  • Very versatile – easy shaped to difficult roofs and comes in many colours and textures
  • None slip surface can be added
  • Easy to repair (Can be done yourself)
  • Safer and quicker to apply for installers
  • Lightweigh so suitable for weight limited roofs

CONS:

  • Needs Specialist Installation for best results
  • More expensive than other materials (pay for what you get)
  • Require fairly good weather conditions to install (mainly dry)
  • Finding a good installer is not so easy than traditional methods (Sedum Supply are certified installers)
