How our Water Smart Living Wall Systems Work
The Smart Box Living Wall systems are available as manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic irrigation providing solutions to meet location and user needs with minimal maintenance.
Manual Fill System
Ideal system for locations with ongoing contracts or self-maintenance needs - popular for external spaces
Suitable for locations with access to appropriate water sources, the manual fill system is ideal for customers seeking an ongoing maintenance approach.
Created using troughs, water is fed through an accessible point at the top of the structure feeding through to the troughs below. Once filled, each reservoir will hold enough water supply for around 3 weeks preventing over watering.
Using the LED water level indicator at the based on the unit, using the Smart Box control and sensors it is easy to monitor levels for maintenance and ensure prolonged life.

Semi-Automatic Fill System
Ideal for interior and exterior locations without direct access to water and requires low maintenance
Within a water tank located at the base of the structure, a pump transfers water to the various troughs to create reservoirs.
Using the water level sensors, the Smart Box control unit triggers the water pump to top up every 24 hours to maintain a consistent level naturally dispersing to keep plants healthy.
The easy to follow LED system status indicates the overall setup level and when additional water is required for easy maintenance.

Fully Automatic Fill System
Automatic irrigation system ideal for locations with access to mains water
Suitable for mains water connection only, the automatic fill system living wall provides all the benefits of a plant wall while requiring almost no maintenance.
Supported through a pressure compensated mains feed and pneumatic solenoid valve, each planter tray retains a 3 week water supply to support plant health. Integrated water level sensors and Smart Box control box ensure ideal conditions are maintained while LED status display ensures ease of monitoring.
